Gençlerbirliği's Marcelino Lacalle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jago Štriker in the 3rd minute of play. Marcelino Lacalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelino Lacalle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Velloso came free, but Marcelino Lacalle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Gracie Barra got a freekick which was hit by Şamil Sağman. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafer Korcan in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Muharrem Sebih came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Marcelino Lacalle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Saldanha. If Bento Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marcelino Lacalle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jago Štriker in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelino Lacalle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute Bento Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelino Lacalle made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Augusto Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Sebih in the 29th minute of play. Cafer Korcan struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Falcão Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gençlerbirliği. Marcelino Lacalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jago Štriker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Pedro Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Aleixo scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Gençlerbirliği booed when Gracie Barra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Aleixo in the 44th minute of play. Muharrem Sebih kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muharrem Sebih was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muharrem Sebih in the 52nd minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Lacalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Gracie Barra getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Emanuel de Lara hit a great ball. Emanuel de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes, Gençlerbirliği's Kristen Michálek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Falcão Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gençlerbirliği reached it. In the 69th minute, Şamil Sağman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Aleixo took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Cunha. Falcão Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bento Aleixo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Falcão Cunha made a huge save. Marcelino Lacalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ke Feng Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hugo de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Gençlerbirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sümer Müjdat to maneuver through the defense. Gracie Barra's Thiago Silvan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gençlerbirliği. Marcelino Lacalle came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gracie Barra's Hugo de Queirós. But to his dismay, Hugo de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Gracie Barra supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gençlerbirliği's performance. The match ended with a win for Gençlerbirliği.
