The audience was convinced that Bohdan Faško's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomir Dropinski was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Štefan Lacko lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rusinska Cigelka fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! 18 minutes into the match, Rusinska Cigelka's Gabriel Moštenan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radomir Dropinski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xinaro Olivieri during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, FC Viper was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xinaro Olivieri to maneuver through the defense. If Miroslav Vrba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radomir Dropinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Moštenan in the 25th minute of play. Rusinska Cigelka's Matej Ivaňo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Andryszyn in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Wasyl Rutkowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute FC Viper were awarded a corner. Ignacy Malicki went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 54th minute, Bernard Szkaradek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stellan Ambjörnsson's late challenge caught a Rusinska Cigelka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stellan Ambjörnsson helped the player get up and apologised. FC Viper's Radomir Dropinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dušan Kršek in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Rusinska Cigelka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Vrba to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Lucjan Peczkowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Matej Ivaňo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 72 played minutes Rusinska Cigelka got a freekick which was hit by Dušan Kršek. Matej Ivaňo came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Viper's Lucjan Peczkowski. But to his dismay, Lucjan Peczkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Lucjan Peczkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Peczkowski in the 93rd minute of play forced Rusinska Cigelka's goalkeeper Matej Ivaňo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Viper's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
