When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Mironov made a kick off. With a little luck, Romania's Niculae Ailenei got control of the ball when Conny Gudmundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitko Hadzhiiliev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Clarke in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match Romania got a corner. SPARROWS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Grigore Dărăscu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Niculae Ailenei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Yi Ran, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Romania's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chen Yi Ran. In the 71st minute, SPARROWS's Chen Yi Ran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The SPARROWS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SPARROWS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
