ADCR Loreto United FC's Miguel Gusmão got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Miguel Gusmão notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ralles Bollklubb's Walter Jönsson. Walter Jönsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Eusébio Sacadura managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADCR Loreto United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Sacadura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Jönsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ralles Bollklubb booed when ADCR Loreto United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Guarda came out of the goal and Björn Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armindo Guarda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Jonasson's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Sacadura in the 45th minute of play forced Ralles Bollklubb's goalkeeper Walter Jönsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johan Löfskog to strike the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Sacadura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Walter Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Miguel Gusmão had to leave the field with a concussion. Lars Wållander charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lars Wållander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ADCR Loreto United FC's Mário Palha was substituted for Miguel Gusmão.
