The audience thought a goal was coming when Zula Dziura got free with Gilbert Podolski in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Li Fei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Podolski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Romanian Gods™'s Li Fei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Podolski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gilbert Podolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zula Dziura in the 11th minute. Mieszko Bartelak charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mieszko Bartelak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 15 minutes, Li Fei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romanian Gods™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Li Fei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isac Murgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radoslaw Trojanowski in the 17th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Li Fei. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Stawiszyn from getting a goal against them. Li Fei's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gilbert Podolski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ionuț Cosoroabă succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 29th playminute. Gilbert Podolski made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Li Fei sent off a good shot on target. Romanian Gods™ were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Pogoń Stawiszyn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ionuț Cosoroabă took the corner. The corner ended in Ionuț Cosoroabă almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski did a great save. In the 36thth minute of the game Li Fei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A nice corner shot did that Ionuț Cosoroabă got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilbert Podolski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Isac Murgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Maruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruffy Coutinho in the 40th minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Borys Pankiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń Stawiszyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romanian Gods™ the free kick. A collision led to Pogoń Stawiszyn getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Borys Pankiewicz hit a great ball. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Stawiszyn from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Li Fei made the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Podolski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Li Fei's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 56th minute Li Fei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goal looked a bit too open when Ruffy Coutinho came free, but Gilbert Podolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Li Fei struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Gilbert Podolski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romanian Gods™. In the 63rd minute Ruffy Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Li Fei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Podolski was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The supporters of Romanian Gods™ booed when Pogoń Stawiszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Dylla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Li Fei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Podolski having to make a save. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Li Fei in the 86th minute of play. Li Fei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Podolski having to interfere.
