Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Italy's Enzo Luongo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexsandro Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute of the match, Enzo Luongo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexsandro Godoi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Armando Natalucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexsandro Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Italy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Comunardo Cerri scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Antognoni, making the score, 3-2. Mihail Brânza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bruno Antognoni firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 96 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lu Chao Cheng who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lu Chao Cheng almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Italy's Bruno Antognoni did a great save.
