Cesar Ruiz had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Michael Blankenburg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, SV PM Cottbus's Ellis Povel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Julius Tenbruck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abílio Brochado in the 25th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Erik Niva sped through ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cesar Ruiz. ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ's Abílio Brochado got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SV PM Cottbus booed when ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artuur Van Geertruyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Amadeo Gonchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abílio Brochado made a kick off. Abílio Brochado struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. If Abílio Brochado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ansgar Kleim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cesar Ruiz. ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ defense, Gencalp Kani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Ruiz. The ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Ruiz should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Abílio Brochado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SV PM Cottbus were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ⓁⒺⒼⒾⒶ•Ⓖ - ⒻⒻⒽ to leave the ground with a draw.
