Alpertunga Yazganalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Olivier having to interfere. Resul Yalın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uffe Joder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gold Raiders FC's Cevahir Oyhan got a free kick in the 7th minute. Resul Yalın made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Samon Hellrung sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cenap Kerem during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gold Raiders FC's Cenap Kerem got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Cevahir Oyhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gold Raiders FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Ostermoordorf the free kick. In the 17th minute of the match Cevahir Oyhan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joachim Olivier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jaro Stand was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Borussia Ostermoordorf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gold Raiders FC:s goal. Joachim Olivier had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Mehmet Özdilek's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 22nd minute Gold Raiders FC were awarded a corner. Cevahir Oyhan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cevahir Oyhan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Borussia Ostermoordorf's Joachim Olivier did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Ostermoordorf's zone, Mehmet Özdilek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Olivier came out of the goal and Mehmet Özdilek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gold Raiders FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Koray Karadeniz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samon Hellrung got free with Resul Yalın in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arif Erdem was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Borussia Ostermoordorf getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jean Rehm hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, Borussia Ostermoordorf's goalkeeper Joachim Olivier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cevahir Oyhan. Borussia Ostermoordorf's Joachim Olivier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Ostermoordorf from getting a goal against them. Gold Raiders FC's Resul Yalın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samon Hellrung in the 61st minute of play. Cevahir Oyhan got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 63rd minute, Cevahir Oyhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Samon Hellrung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Mehmet Özdilek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joachim Olivier. That made the score 0-1 in the 67 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arif Erdem during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Mehmet Özdilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the game, Koray Karadeniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gold Raiders FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Ostermoordorf the free kick. In the 84th minute, Ernst Weißbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Resul Yalın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samon Hellrung in the 89th minute of the match.
