Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Enzo Luongo took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes in the game Ernesto Sciascia did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fedele Evangelista. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Benevento's goalkeeper 吴卫天, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 吴卫天 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Luongo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Aversano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Antognoni having to make a save. Enzo Luongo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 吴卫天 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Benevento's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mattia Hummels was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Italy's Enzo Luongo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 吴卫天 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Italy's zone, Ciro Aversano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Antognoni came out of the goal and Ciro Aversano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jack Daniels hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Luongo in the 19th minute of play forced Atletico Benevento's goalkeeper 吴卫天 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Italy a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Donato Dossena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Benevento's 吴卫天. 0-1. Fedele Evangelista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Antognoni having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Italy's Enzo Luongo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 吴卫天 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Atletico Benevento getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jack Daniels hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Luongo in the 37th minute of play forced Atletico Benevento's goalkeeper 吴卫天 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 吴卫天 came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Cesare Maestri. But to his dismay, Cesare Maestri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 吴卫天 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Luongo in the 47th minute of play. The Atletico Benevento players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-2.

Atletico Benevento made a substitution. Ferruccio Paganelli replaced Fedele Evangelista. Enzo Luongo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Italy made a substitution. Flavio Miconi replaced Cesare Maestri. Italy's Carlo Borgatello was substituted for Enzo Luongo. After 67 minutes, Jack Daniels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Benevento and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Atletico Benevento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Daniels to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atletico Benevento getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jack Daniels hit a great ball. Italy's Carlo Borgatello came free and shot a quick shot against goal 71 minutes in the game, fortunately 吴卫天 had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 72nd minute of the match Italy got a corner. Atletico Benevento's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattia Hummels ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Italy's Mattia Hummels to fire away a dangerous shot which 吴卫天 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. During the 74th minute of the match Jack Daniels completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jack Daniels a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Atletico Benevento getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jack Daniels hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Borgatello in the 80th minute of play forced Atletico Benevento's goalkeeper 吴卫天 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattia Hummels hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Ferruccio Paganelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Antognoni was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 87th minute, Carlo Borgatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Carlo Borgatello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 吴卫天. Carlo Borgatello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. After having played for 93 minutes, Carlo Borgatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Borgatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didi Ladron kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Ferruccio Paganelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Antognoni. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferruccio Paganelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
