Hudson Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes of play, DARAS's Rudi Voeler made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fernando Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the game, Roger Milla lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Luiz Fernando Simões. In the 11th minute, Roger Milla fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luiz Fernando Simões, passed just outside the right post. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by DARAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Barral was slow to take the kick. During this time Estação F.C's players had a chance to rest. Rudi Voeler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Luiz Fernando Simões when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Milla in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Estação F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rudi Voeler. 3-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Rudi Voeler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Rudi Voeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudi Voeler came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luiz Fernando Simões could save by the left post. Luiz Fernando Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Milla in the 40th minute of the match. Boycho Barbutski hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Milla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique Barreto was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Rudi Voeler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Luiz Fernando Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rudi Voeler struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Luiz Fernando Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DARAS. In the 66th minute, Roger Milla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Estação F.C's Luiz Fernando Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Milla in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Milla in the 73rd minute of play forced Estação F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Estação F.C's zone, Roger Milla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Simões came out of the goal and Roger Milla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fernando Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuzman Bondzhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Roger Milla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DARAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Luiz Fernando Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Milla went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. DARAS had played much better football throughout.
