The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cássio Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, BLACK BULL's Victor Maciel got a free kick in the 7th minute. Victor Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Romário Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cássio Gaspar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BLACK BULL. The BLACK BULL fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when BLACK BULL's Alberto Mendonça looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 34th minute of play forced ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalkeeper Cássio Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BLACK BULL were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Maciel took the corner. The corner led BLACK BULL's Victor Maciel to fire away a dangerous shot which Cássio Gaspar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's André Luís Nunes got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Alberto Mendonça notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's Cássio Gaspar. Cássio Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fernando Urbano hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Alberto Mendonça did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Cássio Gaspar 54 minutes into the match. BLACK BULL's Alberto Mendonça was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 59th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. BLACK BULL's Waldemar Capixaba was substituted for Ruy Torres. Adilson Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalkeeper Cássio Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walmir Severo. In the 70th minute, Walmir Severo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cássio Gaspar. The goal made the score 0-6. After 72 played minutes ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Nunes. In the 76th minute André Luís Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Severo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Cássio Gaspar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Walmir Severo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Cássio Gaspar 82 minutes into the match. Gilberto Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Adilson Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's zone, Vágner Coutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Gaspar came out of the goal and Vágner Coutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Severo in the 95th minute of play forced ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's goalkeeper Cássio Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Severo in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BLACK BULL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
