Germano Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gualter Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Rodrigues scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gualter Britto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BOI BRABO FC's Gualter Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 13th minute of play. Gualter Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Nestor Quintal made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Bruninho Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. Gualter Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute José Vítor Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Ribeiro in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Independente FC's José Vítor Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualter Britto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zé Carlos de Azevedo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter Britto. Gualter Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Diego Martins hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. José Vítor Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Britto having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Carlos de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Gualter Britto was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Inácio Pinheiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Inácio Pinheiro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Nilmar Rosa hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The supporters of BOI BRABO FC booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. BOI BRABO FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Independente FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nildo Loureiro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ciro Ribeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nestor Quintal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. José Vítor Rodrigues hit a great ball. The supporters of Independente FC booed when BOI BRABO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Pinheiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Zé Carlos de Azevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gualter Britto came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Carlos de Azevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 79th minute. If Inácio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BOI BRABO FC! In the 96th minute, Zé Carlos de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualter Britto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Independente FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
