The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erwin Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedykt Duszenski in the 6th minute of play. Bengt Askberg in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erwin Teesing, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 8th match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Martinsson to maneuver through the defense. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Duszenski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Martinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. ASC South United's Erwin Teesing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save ASC South United from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in ASC South United's zone, Bengt Askberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Teesing came out of the goal and Bengt Askberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of IKS Norrköping booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frits de Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Askberg came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olle Hjälm in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Rolf van der Saar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Askberg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedykt Duszenski in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Teesing saved ASC South United from getting behind. A nice corner shot did that Bengt Askberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erwin Teesing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olle Hjälm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olle Hjälm in the 47th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of IKS Norrköping booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirko Stuijvenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Benedykt Duszenski made the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute Bengt Askberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Andreas Tamminga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, ASC South United's Rolf van der Saar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustav Göransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Duszenski in the 84th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
