The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Petty. After a rather tough play, Inter Nados's Bonifacio Urbasa got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Inter Nados defense, Ralph Turner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Harri. The Inter Nados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Harri should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Turner in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Harri saved Inter Nados from getting behind. In the 15th play minute Arsenio Urdaspal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonty Connell. 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Ralph Turner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Harri. Inter Nados's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Turner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Ralph Turner sped through Inter Nados's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gaspar Harri. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Ralph Turner got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antony Mcinnes's late challenge caught a Inter Nados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antony Mcinnes helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Antony Mcinnes. In the 32nd minute, Aron Blestowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Inter Nados's Maximino Frederico tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Napier in the 34th minute of play forced AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's goalkeeper Jonty Connell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Arsenio Urdaspal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonty Connell was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After 44 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Steve Worsley. After the first half AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arsenio Urdaspal to make the kick off. If Lance Aylwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Artie Mccarthy. 74 minutes into the game, Steve Worsley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Nados the free kick. Steve Worsley hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Freddy Napier came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Inter Nados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Napier couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ralph Turner managed to get in a good position for a shot. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Turner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Harri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Lance Aylwin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lance Aylwin came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gaspar Harri could save by the left post. Jonty Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Romulo Indartsu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonty Connell was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inter Nados fans cheered their team off the field, for while AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
