The supporters of La Bichineta booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Forsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hauk Hareide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, La Bichineta's Arnaldo Pirmin got a free kick in the 19th minute. Silvestre Peli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dave Di Filippo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Oskar Haeger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hauk Hareide went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Felix Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Haeger having to interfere. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Di Filippo in the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hermanö Oilers's zone, Hauk Hareide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oskar Haeger came out of the goal and Hauk Hareide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hermanö Oilers had won after a very even match.
