After a defensive mix-up in Randkleve's zone, Levi Audenaert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eilif Hørmand came out of the goal and Levi Audenaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 3rd minute, Levi Audenaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute Harold Bergfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Campens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Randkleve's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Remco Van Der Elst 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Michael Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heine Nyster, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes Purple Talents's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Heine Nyster who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Heine Nyster almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Purple Talents's Michael Campens did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heine Nyster in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Campens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Randkleve booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Smets didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levi Audenaert in the 29th minute of play forced Randkleve's goalkeeper Eilif Hørmand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lieven Omblets blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eilif Hørmand having to make a save. Remco Van Der Elst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eilif Hørmand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Levi Audenaert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Cederique De Kepper struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Eilif Hørmand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talents. The audience was convinced that Lieven Omblets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eilif Hørmand was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute Harold Bergfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Campens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lieven Omblets stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eilif Hørmand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lieven Omblets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertil Adelsbøll hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Eilif Hørmand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lieven Omblets, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Randkleve's Eilif Hørmand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lieven Omblets in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lieven Omblets in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eilif Hørmand saved Randkleve from getting behind. The supporters of Randkleve booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Smets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolaus Strufve charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolaus Strufve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Randkleve's Nicolaus Strufve got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Cederique De Kepper notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Randkleve's Eilif Hørmand. Eilif Hørmand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Bernard Fredsholm made a precise shot to the right of Michael Campens. Purple Talents's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Eilif Hørmand came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Purple Talents's Lieven Omblets. But to his dismay, Lieven Omblets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. When Dirk Smets was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played.
