Saul Osoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Vale in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute György Kósa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Falcão Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when LegionArgentina's György Kósa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. György Kósa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. György Kósa in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Falcão Moreira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th match minute, A.D Leônico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Anderssen in the 15th minute of play forced LegionArgentina's goalkeeper Saul Osoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to A.D Leônico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Inácio Fernandez hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes LegionArgentina got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Gartzen. Saul Osoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Vale's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. György Kósa had several of the A.D Leônico's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Falcão Moreira as he didn't even see the shot coming. Inácio Fernandez hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Falcão Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Wicherek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes A.D Leônico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Jaunti who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on LegionArgentina's corner Generoso Gau fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Falcão Moreira quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game György Kósa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D Leônico's Falcão Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A.D Leônico were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after LegionArgentina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Grzegorz Czerny took the corner. In the 46th minute, Dag Anderssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, LegionArgentina's Gustaw Wicherek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rigoberto Lucero's late challenge caught a A.D Leônico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Lucero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LegionArgentina's Rigoberto Lucero got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Tony Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. LegionArgentina's Rigoberto Lucero got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Rigoberto Lucero off the ground. Flavinho Pontes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Grzegorz Czerny kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Saul Osoitz made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dag Anderssen sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in A.D Leônico's zone, György Kósa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Moreira came out of the goal and György Kósa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grzegorz Czerny's late challenge caught a LegionArgentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Generoso Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Moreira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaw Wicherek in the 87th minute of play forced A.D Leônico's goalkeeper Falcão Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Gustaw Wicherek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LegionArgentina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Wicherek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falcão Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Arnas in the 96th minute of play.
