Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Estebano Reganado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Üstek in the 18th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Nevada Maderos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duardo Bolantin scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Icardi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mauro Icardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estebano Reganado in the 24th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Kılıç Yatuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Fizimar's Ali Behzat Akbudun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nevada Maderos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Nevada Maderos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahsin Üstek in the 36th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Behzat Akbudun came free, but Nevada Maderos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Fizimar got a freekick which was hit by Kamuran Bağdaş. Estebano Reganado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tahsin Üstek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nevada Maderos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Estebano Reganado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Icardi having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Behzat Akbudun came free, but Nevada Maderos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Zaballos's late challenge caught a Fizimar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Zaballos helped the player get up and apologised. Filipe Zaballos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Nevada Maderos was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Ali Behzat Akbudun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ali Behzat Akbudun really showed his touch with that goal: 6-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Borussia Dortmund fully deserved thier win.
