The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomasz Dudzik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Pompiliu Hâncu made a huge save. In the 4th minute, KS Blizne's Dariusz Rudy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 6 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Dindelegan. Pompiliu Hâncu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanek Peczkowski in the 7th minute. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Rudy in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanek Peczkowski got free with Pompiliu Hâncu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Moscu to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Tanek Peczkowski notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu. Pompiliu Hâncu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu got control of the ball when Tanek Peczkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tanek Peczkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pompiliu Hâncu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Emanuel Firea's late challenge caught a KS Blizne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Firea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KS Blizne booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Firea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Karol Gierasik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Hâncu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Tanek Peczkowski notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu. Pompiliu Hâncu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KS Blizne had played much better football throughout.
