The score was now 1-2. 96 minutes into the game, Claudiu Moscu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republica Ploiești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norra Sandby FF the free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Republica Ploiești eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
