After 15 played minutes, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Anselmo Batista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nevada Maderos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Iguaçu MZFC reached it. Colon Mestre hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Manurga in the 22nd minute of play. Giuseppe Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estebano Reganado in the 26th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Luizinho Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Duardo Bolantin came free, but Giuseppe Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Estebano Reganado came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estebano Reganado couldn't finish the play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Giuseppe Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duardo Bolantin in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colon Mestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Dalmo Rocha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nevada Maderos. Dalmo Rocha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmo Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when César Alagoano came free, but Nevada Maderos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Urbano. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Isadoro Archibeque hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Anselmo Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nevada Maderos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flor Orbaneja kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Flor Orbaneja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borussia Dortmund's Filipe Zaballos got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nevada Maderos came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Guilherme Mandrak. But to his dismay, Guilherme Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 81 minutes into the game, Estebano Reganado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Estebano Reganado hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Guilherme Mandrak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nevada Maderos skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Amaral during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nevada Maderos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
