Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evaristo Gabino started the match with the kick off. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Calisto in the 4th minute of play. When Lucian Luțu came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Republica Ploiești fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucian Luțu couldn't finish the play. After 6 minutes, Aristides Avellaneda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kaplan and the Republica Ploiești players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Aristides Avellaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaplan's Eugenio Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Moscu in the 8th minute of play. Pompiliu Hâncu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudiu Moscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Costel Lepuș. In the 23rd minute Republica Ploiești were awarded a corner. Cazimir Mohora went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 26th minute, Claudio Mundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luca Gavrilescu came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Republica Ploiești fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Gavrilescu couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Herauso kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Gavrilescu got free with Eugenio Paz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Republica Ploiești getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Claudiu Moscu hit a great ball. Pompiliu Hâncu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Calisto went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute Abelardo Ledesma suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. When Costică Barbu fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Republica Ploiești's protests and gave Costică Barbu a yellow card for diving instead. Kaplan's Nemesio Mateus couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Republica Ploiești. After 44 minutes of play, Kaplan's Evaristo Gabino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Hâncu was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Gavrilescu to make the kick off. Kaplan's Eugenio Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Gavrilescu in the 55th minute of play. Eugenio Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Gavrilescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's Viorel Ungur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Paz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute of the match Republica Ploiești got a corner. Kaplan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cazimir Mohora ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kaplan's goalie and right to Viorel Ungur. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kaplan's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Aurelio Herauso kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Eugenio Paz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luca Gavrilescu's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Viorel Ungur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Kaplan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Republica Ploiești.
