The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Aritza got free with Ąžuolas Laucius in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jimeno Oso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Oso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ąžuolas Laucius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ąžuolas Laucius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Atlético Nacional's Saturnino Nardo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Atlético Nacional's Celestino Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kipras Gelžinis in the 21st minute of play. After 21 minutes, Nicolas Aritza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Nacional and the Lithuanian amber players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Aritza to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Nardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ąžuolas Laucius came out and tried to block the shot, but Saturnino Nardo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 24th minute. Saturnino Nardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ąžuolas Laucius having to interfere. Cecilio Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Saturnino Nardo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ąžuolas Laucius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Nacional. Kęstutis Jakubauskas scored 3-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celestino Bernal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kipras Gelžinis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Lithuanian amber's Kęstutis Jakubauskas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Celestino Bernal. That made the score 3-3 after 68 minutes of play. Ąžuolas Laucius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kęstutis Jakubauskas got free with Celestino Bernal in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Lithuanian amber's Vytautas Alsys got a free kick in the 80th minute. Celestino Bernal made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Kęstutis Jakubauskas sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lithuanian amber's zone, Saturnino Nardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ąžuolas Laucius came out of the goal and Saturnino Nardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Lithuanian amber players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
