Lennart Abrahamsson started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Arévalo Miñaca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Peder Åström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th minute Arévalo Miñaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peder Åström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peder Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Arévalo Miñaca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geležinis Vilkas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arévalo Miñaca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Arévalo Miñaca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goal looked a bit too open when Arévalo Miñaca came free, but Peder Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arévalo Miñaca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peder Åström was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arévalo Miñaca in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peder Åström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 30th minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Peder Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geležinis Vilkas's Ferrer Acha got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Melker Sandström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arne Rusterholz. That made the score 1-2 in the 35 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Arévalo Miñaca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peder Åström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 42nd minute Arévalo Miñaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, one of Team Rocco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Team Rocco. Peder Åström went to the wrong direction when Eitautas Ivoška was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Team Rocco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Geležinis Vilkas were winning 1-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arévalo Miñaca to strike the kick off in the second half. Arévalo Miñaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peder Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Arévalo Miñaca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Peder Åström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Geležinis Vilkas's Saulius Grapskis got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arévalo Miñaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peder Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arévalo Miñaca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Abrahamsson in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peder Åström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Denis Kolodin charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Kolodin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Denis Kolodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Björklund in the 70th minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Arne Rusterholz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Team Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Runeberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Team Rocco's Peder Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 73rd minute of play. If Arévalo Miñaca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute Arévalo Miñaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peder Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Team Rocco defense, Arévalo Miñaca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peder Åström. The Team Rocco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peder Åström should have stopped the shot. Arévalo Miñaca struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Peder Åström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geležinis Vilkas. 84 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goalkeeper Peder Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arévalo Miñaca. Peder Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 91st minute of play. If Saulius Grapskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peder Åström. Peder Åström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. When the match was over Geležinis Vilkas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Team Rocco throughout the match.
