After a defensive mix-up in DeSTeRe's zone, Horea Vulcănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş came out of the goal and Horea Vulcănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Staffan Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ediberto Sampaio scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Staffan Eckegren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, DeSTeRe's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Vulcănescu came free, but Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, G A I S was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Jernberg to maneuver through the defense. DeSTeRe's Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save DeSTeRe from getting a goal against them. G A I S's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DeSTeRe the free kick. DeSTeRe made a substitution. Staffan Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Staffan Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timóteo Infante in the 81st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Juan Čuk sped through G A I S's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Staffan Eckegren. The audience was convinced that Ediberto Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Staffan Eckegren was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
