Artur Curado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Artur Curado got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Gaspar Salbatore came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Eibar 09-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Salbatore couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Cai, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Patrício Poças's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Urbano Tono firmly grabbed it by the left post. Raimundo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Cai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbano Tono didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrício Poças went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Despite this Urbano Tono quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute of the match Gaspar Salbatore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Delgado skillfully saved the ball. Patrício Poças's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Urbano Tono skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrício Poças got free with Urbano Tono in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garanhão do SUL's Raimundo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Loi in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Christian Cai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Delgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Gualterio Larra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Raimundo Delgado made a huge save. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Krasimir Balakov hit a great ball. Raimundo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Cai in the 61st minute of play. Silvério Brochado hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Silvério Sabrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Tono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Raimundo Delgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Cai. Urbano Tono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Calçada in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Álvaro Calçada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Louis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raimundo Delgado.
