Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henry Fagerberg got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Sigvard Biörnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rönnöfors FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skövde AIK the free kick. Sigvard Biörnberg hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Fagerberg in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs got control of the ball when Wiktor Dahlman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rönnöfors FF were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Skövde AIK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Per Stenberg took the corner. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Fagerberg in the 15th minute of play. The Skövde AIK fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 21 minutes into the game, Per Stenberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olov Wahlnäs. Per Stenberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Magne Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Hökqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Rudberg in the 42nd minute of play. Magne Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 43rd minute of play. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Stenberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olov Wahlnäs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Kevin Keegan scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magne Gunnarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Keegan got free with Magne Gunnarsson in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Wahlnäs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Olov Wahlnäs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Olov Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Stenberg in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Filip Brolin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Isaac Apelquist replaced Dag Spets. Filip Brolin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Henry Fagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Fagerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rönnöfors FF's André Sundström was substituted for Sigvard Biörnberg. When Per Stenberg came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Rönnöfors FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Stenberg couldn't finish the play. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. When Per Tunström fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rönnöfors FF's protests and gave Per Tunström a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Rönnöfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Per Tunström. Jerry Williams took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Magne Gunnarsson. Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Stenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Magne Gunnarsson made a huge save. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rönnöfors FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chen Ao Fan was slow to take the kick. During this time Skövde AIK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Chen Ao Fan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson did a great save. Chen Ao Fan got in the 91st minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Magne Gunnarsson and thus it was 1-3. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Fagerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Skövde AIK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
