The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Devils. 7 minutes into the game, Prospero Mergildo threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Devils's Viktoras Rurin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, FC Devils's Rangel Parashkevov got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ceferino Cuervo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Boruc having to interfere. Dariusz Brysz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lester Serre came out and tried to block the shot, but Dariusz Brysz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Ivan Errando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Boruc was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Lester Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Brysz in the 24th minute of play. FC Devils's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Errando in the 26th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Lorenzo Jerrold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Devils's Artur Boruc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Errando in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Dariusz Brysz made a precise shot to the right of Lester Serre. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. FC Devils's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Errando in the 37th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dariusz Brysz made a kick off. Artur Boruc made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Robert Smith sent off a good shot on target. Lester Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Tomaszewski in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Errando in the 61st minute of play forced FC Devils's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lester Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dariusz Brysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dariusz Brysz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lester Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Brysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Brysz in the 74th minute of play. Dariusz Brysz might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lester Serre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dariusz Brysz ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Brysz came free, but Lester Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Devils booed when San Lorenzo de Sarandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Devils fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Lorenzo de Sarandi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
