Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Melander came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes of play, Gimnasia y tiro's Esben Nordborg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albino Maiorga was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Reynaldo Montrelle came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gimnasia y tiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Montrelle couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, U21 Argentina's Karl-Michael Melander got a free kick in the 21st minute. Reynaldo Montrelle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albino Maiorga having to make a save. Albino Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Montrelle in the 26th minute of the match. Albino Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Mouricio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Karl-Michael Melander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wieslaw Panasewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 42 played minutes U21 Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Abel Pasqualini. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Karl-Michael Melander took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Wieslaw Panasewicz to make any attempt to save it.

Gimnasia y tiro's Batuhan Modrić was substituted for Reynaldo Montrelle. A collision led to U21 Argentina getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ciriaco Gregory hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute U21 Argentina were awarded a corner. Rayan MacQueen went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rayan MacQueen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wieslaw Panasewicz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Raitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes of play, Gimnasia y tiro's Batuhan Modrić made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geronimo Raitin took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wieslaw Panasewicz. Wieslaw Panasewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Gimnasia y tiro's Jonatan Euloxu was substituted for Basilio Guillem. U21 Argentina's Arnaldo Ortega was substituted for Rayan MacQueen. Batuhan Modrić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Albino Maiorga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wieslaw Panasewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Raitin in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to U21 Argentina getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gonza Ünder hit a great ball. U21 Argentina's Albino Maiorga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Argentina from getting a goal against them. If Batuhan Modrić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, U21 Argentina's Albino Maiorga got control of the ball when Batuhan Modrić tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Batuhan Modrić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albino Maiorga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Batuhan Modrić in the 82nd minute. Arnaldo Ortega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of U21 Argentina booed when Gimnasia y tiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Quintin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wieslaw Panasewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Raitin in the 95th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Geronimo Raitin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz. Gimnasia y tiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geronimo Raitin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Bernardino Quintin got a free kick in the 98th minute. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Raitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gimnasia y tiro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U21 Argentina.
