The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elek Bognár during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elek Bognár hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Armando Milito. 13 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Hıdır Aygüneş came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Valencia CF Mindszent booed when Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Llorian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Valencia CF Mindszent's Christos Xenidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Afonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Zacarias Oliverios made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valencia CF Mindszent's Gáspár Rigó. Rene Higuita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Armando Milito went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Cacheres came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gábor Joó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gábor Joó in the 39th minute of play forced Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s goalkeeper Gavino Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elek Bognár's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Afonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Afonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Bob Sinclair dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gavino Afonso, 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s zone, Silvestre Pacorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Afonso came out of the goal and Silvestre Pacorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavino Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Sinclair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Valencia CF Mindszent getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Maurício Monsanto hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s goal looked a bit too open when Bob Sinclair came free, but Gavino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Bob Sinclair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴'s Gavino Afonso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Valencia CF Mindszent players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
