The Valencia CF Mindszent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Higuita should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Valencia CF Mindszent booed when Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sun Wei didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavino Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Sinclair, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hıdır Aygüneş in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 89th minute Bob Sinclair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Bob Sinclair reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gavino Afonso. The goal made the score 4-5. When the match was over Valencia CF Mindszent could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ⱨ₳₵ɆĐØⱤ ĐɆ ØⱤØ₴ throughout the match.
