Spectators: 427 (Terracing: 321, Seating: 98, VIP seats: 8) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Geovanni Barreto started the match with the kick off. Fiori Maia took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fellipe Souto. Fellipe Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fiori Maia in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fellipe Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Vitório Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luan Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Maia in the 18th minute of play forced F C Metropolitan's goalkeeper Fellipe Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, IBIRITÉ FC's Fiori Maia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fellipe Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fred Marquez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Luan Souto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 25 played minutes F C Metropolitan got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Britto. 28 minutes into the match, IBIRITÉ FC's Fiori Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fellipe Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to F C Metropolitan getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Vitório Veloso hit a great ball. F C Metropolitan's Fellipe Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Maia in the 33rd minute of play. Fellipe Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match, Geovanni Barreto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luan Souto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fiori Maia in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fellipe Souto saved F C Metropolitan from getting behind. Fellipe Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fiori Maia's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fiori Maia made the kick off in the second half. When IBIRITÉ FC's Tiago Amaral in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F C Metropolitan's goalie prevented a goal. In the 53rd minute Geovanni Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to F C Metropolitan getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Anísio Borges hit a great ball. The long shot by Teodoro Maia in the 57th minute really tested Fellipe Souto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. F C Metropolitan were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after IBIRITÉ FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Bertassi took the corner. In the 65th minute Geovanni Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luan Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Geovanni Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luan Souto was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Tiago Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fellipe Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Fred Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the F C Metropolitan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Marquez couldn't finish the play. With his leg Fellipe Souto managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when IBIRITÉ FC's Fiori Maia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Fiori Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The IBIRITÉ FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing IBIRITÉ FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
