The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. HNRY West Boys's André Crain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Neymar in the 7th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Júnior Neymar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HNRY West Boys's André Crain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The US Albenga fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when US Albenga's Júnior Neymar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. André Crain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The US Albenga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Neymar in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Crain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the game, Florian Rosen threw the ball into play from the sideline. US Albenga's Ermanno Cavallaro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind HNRY West Boys's goalkeeper André Crain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of HNRY West Boys booed when US Albenga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Nobile didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Crain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Neymar in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in HNRY West Boys's zone, Anselmo Lucidi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Crain came out of the goal and Anselmo Lucidi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Júnior Neymar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. US Albenga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Neymar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind HNRY West Boys's goalkeeper André Crain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júnior Neymar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Duane Kellogg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Marsonet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florian Rosen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, HNRY West Boys's Florian Rosen got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 68 minutes of play, US Albenga's Anselmo Lucidi made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Crain was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Florian Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júnior Neymar got free with André Crain in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Crain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Neymar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Júnior Neymar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Crain. Júnior Neymar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Neymar in the 94th minute of play forced HNRY West Boys's goalkeeper André Crain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play HNRY West Boys's Florian Rosen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Florian Rosen kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
US Albenga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
