The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Eladio got free with Alberigo Tripodi in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 played minutes Canevare got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Antonini. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Stéphane Brault played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mei Zhen Kun in the 7th minute of play. Alberigo Tripodi made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Ramon Centurión sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mei Zhen Kun in the 11th minute of play forced Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goalkeeper Stéphane Brault to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stéphane Brault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mei Zhen Kun in the 11th minute of play. Alberigo Tripodi made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ramon Centurión sent off a good shot on target. Cordera Abella struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Alberigo Tripodi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepsi Fuchibol Clu. After a rather tough play, Canevare's Eraldo Scurti got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Feyyaz Erol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo Tripodi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberigo Tripodi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feyyaz Erol, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feyyaz Erol in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberigo Tripodi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feyyaz Erol let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 26th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. 30 minutes into the game, Feyyaz Erol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alberigo Tripodi. Feyyaz Erol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Christopher Featon hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Firmo Abella shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alberigo Tripodi but with some difficulty. Stéphane Brault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acep Hasanuddin in the 38th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Acep Hasanuddin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Stéphane Brault was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Canevare's Alberigo Tripodi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Canevare from getting a goal against them. Ramon Centurión's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alberigo Tripodi firmly grabbed it by the left post. 46 minutes into the match, Canevare's goal looked a bit too open when Feyyaz Erol came free, but Alberigo Tripodi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mei Zhen Kun to make the kick off.
