After a defensive mix-up in Vaqueteros FC's zone, Andrea Gambini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Coviolo's goalkeeper Didier Gobbelijns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Haitz. In the 12th minute Tosun Paşa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Gobbelijns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Gambini took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Tono. Javier Tono dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Andrea Gambini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Tono having to make a save. Frodo Di Marco's late challenge caught a Vaqueteros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frodo Di Marco helped the player get up and apologised. Frodo Di Marco kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Gambini in the 31st minute of play forced Vaqueteros FC's goalkeeper Javier Tono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Kent Sandström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Elequemedo's late challenge caught a Vaqueteros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didier Gobbelijns was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Venancio Victoro. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tosun Paşa made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Coviolo's Andrea Gambini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Tono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Coviolo made a substitution. Robert Lipinski replaced Bennvar Elin. After 61 minutes Vaqueteros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner.
