In the 12thth minute of the game Gustaf Tiede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenn Fronval stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Fioriti's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes AB Tårnby got a freekick which was hit by Peter Arneke. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Tiede, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Antonio Fioriti struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Kenn Fronval didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Burgas. Sporting Burgas's Javier Carmona quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Fioriti to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Tiede who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Álvaro Perpiñán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iliyan Glogov hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 58th minute of play forced AB Tårnby's goalkeeper Kenn Fronval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, AB Tårnby's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Fioriti came free, but Kenn Fronval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AB Tårnby booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedro Pantoja didn't get a good kick on the ball. AB Tårnby's Detlev Gerling was substituted for Iliyan Glogov. After 83 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Cedro Pantoja. Detlev Gerling's late challenge caught a Sporting Burgas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Detlev Gerling helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes AB Tårnby got a freekick which was hit by Detlev Gerling.
