After a rather tough play, Herblay's Dimitri Bougault got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonin Dagorne. Ludomil Kajdasz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberigo Prosperi went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ludomil Kajdasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Prosperi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberigo Prosperi in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludomil Kajdasz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grzegorz Krychowiak hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dabi Saens during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 32 minutes into the game, one of The Cavern Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ludomil Kajdasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Prosperi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 47 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Jean-François Degrémont. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Léon Monnet to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Herblay's Joël Willaume got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Vladimir Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonin Dagorne in the 58th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Alberigo Prosperi sped through Herblay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ludomil Kajdasz. 66 minutes into the match, Herblay's Antonin Dagorne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69thth minute of the game Alberigo Prosperi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's Alberigo Prosperi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ludomil Kajdasz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Léon Monnet came free, but Vladimir Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludomil Kajdasz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberigo Prosperi went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Jairo Montes took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Ludomil Kajdasz to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Herblay's zone, Jairo Montes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludomil Kajdasz came out of the goal and Jairo Montes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jairo Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Cavern Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
