ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Alacuart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Julio Alacuart sent off a good shot on target. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Vila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jakes Vila made a kick off. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Vasile Tufescu hit a great ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Darryl Buckner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a corner. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Cerritos ran over to the corner to take the kick. 69 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Buckner came free, but Remigio Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Rey Northe replaced Julio Alacuart. In the 72nd minute of the match Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a corner. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Cerritos ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darryl Buckner in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Valerón saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. The supporters of Dep Colonia Avellaneda booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Castelao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Remigio Valerón made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Darryl Buckner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Valerón was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Darryl Buckner might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Valerón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A nice corner shot did that Joel Valines got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victoriano Bernaldo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
