Gordon Suarezs short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Cristoforo Morini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristoforo Morini made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Osvaldo Peregrin sent off a good shot on target. Paulin Sequeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonello Desiderio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vanadio F.C.'s Osvaldo Peregrin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emil Moryl in the 24 minute of the game. If Marcos Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordon Suarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Cristoforo Morini made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Gordon Suarez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cristoforo Morini to make any attempt to save it. Bekir Çağan took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristoforo Morini. Cristoforo Morini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Bekir Çağan with Gordon Suarez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Servando Ariztimuño's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristoforo Morini firmly grabbed it by the left post. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rosenborg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maxin Oces was slow to take the kick. During this time Vanadio F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. 47 minutes into the match, Rosenborg's goalkeeper Cristoforo Morini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Servando Ariztimuño.

The wind increased when Marcos Carioca made the kick off in the second half. Cristoforo Morini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Suarez in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosenborg's goalkeeper Cristoforo Morini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vanadio F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maxin Oces in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Maxin Oces got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristoforo Morini quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Rosenborg defense, Gordon Suarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristoforo Morini. The Rosenborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristoforo Morini should have stopped the shot. Rosenborg made a substitution. Fortunato Zola replaced Biagio Stellato. Emil Moryl made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vanadio F.C.'s Osvaldo Peregrin. Luciano Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosenborg's Luciano Lluques slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulin Sequeiros. That made the score 5-1 after 91 minutes of play. The supporters of Rosenborg booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Servando Ariztimuño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wiktor Narbut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vanadio F.C. had won after a very even match.
