Lin Hong Song took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Rzentkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Manfred Konradsson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Bernardo Mazzola. 43 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's Barry Masker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Mazzola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when Fc Aroosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Bentkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Borys Rzentkowski fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Aroosos's protests and gave Borys Rzentkowski a yellow card for diving instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manfred Konradsson made a kick off. Gabriel Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lin Hong Song having to interfere. Lemel SV made a substitution. Dennis Bergkamp replaced Barry Masker. Lemel SV's Ettore Petroni got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Fc Aroosos's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Petroni came free, but Bernardo Mazzola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Yuri Roelofsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Fc Aroosos got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Casadei. After 82 minutes of play, Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Mazzola was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Fc Aroosos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Mazzola should have stopped the shot. After 91 played minutes Fc Aroosos got a freekick which was hit by Wlodzimierz Bentkowski. Fc Aroosos's Bernardo Mazzola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Petroni in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Lemel SV were awarded a corner. Claudio Caniggia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Lemel SV's Yuri Roelofsen to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardo Mazzola despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

Lemel SV's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
