An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Forsberg in the 19th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luka Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Higuita having to interfere. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Valencia CF Mindszent's Octav Blănaru to a score. 3-1 in the 27th minute. If Christos Xenidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. Navarro Montoya made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gábor Joó sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Börje Forsberg to make the kick off. Rene Higuita made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Bo Ronaldo sent off a good shot on target. After 98 minutes Jastreb's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Konstantin Fitos who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Saltuk Peykan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Navarro Montoya quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

Valencia CF Mindszent were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jastreb for a fine match.
