Les Pionniers de Touraine's Gaël Thuilliez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lukasz Zembrzuski in the 5 minute of the game. Abraham Beauval blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Szczęsny having to make a save. Franco Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Beauval in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Les Pionniers de Touraine's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo de Amaral came free, but Tanek Zurawski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Zurawski made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Luís Gustavo de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Raphaël Lallemand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
