Gabby Arias made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Balaban Mirkelam sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the game, 史铮坤 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aşkın Özgunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aşkın Özgunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eleuterio Mirande's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Thierry Auroy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabby Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabby Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jocelyn Care in the 26th minute of play. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 史铮坤 in the 29th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Balaban Mirkelam came free, but Gabby Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ilulea FC's Gabby Arias got control of the ball when Thierry Auroy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabby Arias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thierry Auroy went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 史铮坤 in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 史铮坤 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ilulea FC's 史铮坤 in 50 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Aşkın Özgunes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jocelyn Care in the 53rd minute of play forced Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, 史铮坤 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aşkın Özgunes. The goal made the score 1-2. Gabby Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Luzea in the 57th minute of play. Aşkın Özgunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Mirande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute of the match, Eleuterio Mirande tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aşkın Özgunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Soulfly F.C. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when 史铮坤 got free with Aşkın Özgunes in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balaban Mirkelam in the 68th minute of play forced Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Thierry Auroy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 79 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Auroy came free, but Gabby Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Soulfly F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Mirande came free, but Aşkın Özgunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilulea FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 史铮坤 in the 83rd minute. The corner ended in 史铮坤 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes did a great save. In the 86th minute Eleuterio Mirande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aşkın Özgunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabby Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jocelyn Care in the 88th minute of the match. Aşkın Özgunes made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Marian Golembiewski sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Soulfly F.C. defense, Eleuterio Mirande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aşkın Özgunes. The Soulfly F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aşkın Özgunes should have stopped the shot.

The Ilulea FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ilulea FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
