An unexpectedly hard shot by Piara Santo in the 17th minute of play forced Bayern Boliviano's goalkeeper Antonio Giorgio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Che Kasten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Giorgio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Rudkvist got free with Marcos Burni in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ramon Iztal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Burni was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th match minute, Bayern Boliviano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Iztal to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cooper Schurter, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Iztal was the one to do the kick off. If Felipe Abendano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waitakere F.C.'s Marius Gherghe was substituted for Piara Santo. Antonio Giorgio was a little too slow when Nacho Scocco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Iztal in the 63rd minute of play forced Waitakere F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayern Boliviano made a substitution. Beat Abendano replaced Anton Erkmann. Anton Erkmann hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Waitakere F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
