Descamisados CF's Lawrence Lawless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Lex Academy's Tomáš Houdek got control of the ball when Jairo Baraquiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Genaro Serapio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jairo Baraquiel sped through Lex Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomáš Houdek. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Bernardo Novaes made the kick off in the second half. Descamisados CF's Lawrence Lawless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 53rd minute of play. Tomáš Houdek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, Lex Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Serapio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lex Academy getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Genaro Serapio hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, one of Descamisados CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Descamisados CF. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Artaldo in the 76th minute of play forced Lex Academy's goalkeeper Tomáš Houdek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomáš Houdek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Txartiko in the 84th minute of play. Lawrence Lawless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Novaes in the 88th minute of the match. Lex Academy made a substitution. Radomir Wyrostek replaced Fausto Castulo. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Radomir Wyrostek advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Lex Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Txartiko came free, but Tomáš Houdek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The Lex Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lex Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
