When Hernan Lano came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Lano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Soroca F.C.'s zone, Carlo Montanari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Carlo Montanari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrián Espadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Lorenzi having to interfere. Eugenio Lorenzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Adrián Espadas made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Bengt-Rune Waller in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Soroca F.C.'s Max Josef Justice. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Soroca F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Juventus F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
