Gil Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Opilano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kilstedt came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Jonsereds IF getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hans Kilstedt hit a great ball. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Kilstedt in the 39th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Racing Club's Efmamjjasond Bronco was substituted for Mario Silban. Racing Club's Homer Field was substituted for Ramiro Lano. Gil Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Txomin in the 54th minute of play. Gil Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Nevada, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 75th minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Samuel Nevada went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Racing Club's corner Samuel Nevada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gil Garcia quite easily take care of the ball. Harry Tham's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Tham helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Jonsereds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Tham didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Racing Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
