Shi Bang Xiang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Roelfs in the 6th minute of play forced FC Jamala's goalkeeper Shi Bang Xiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Hortêncio Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Bang Xiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shi Bang Xiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Roelfs, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Shi Bang Xiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nurkan Bayar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EDI MZB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Loco Martin scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldo Neto, making the score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, FC Jamala's goal looked a bit too open when Nurkan Bayar came free, but Shi Bang Xiang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Tao Li Zhen got a free kick in the 15th minute. FC Jamala's Shi Bang Xiang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nurkan Bayar in the 17th minute of play. Shi Bang Xiang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Roelfs in the 25th minute of play. After 35 minutes FC Jamala's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nurkan Bayar who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Hortêncio Mandrak advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 36th minute. Shi Bang Xiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nurkan Bayar in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes FC Jamala got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Chaime. In the 43rd minute, FC Jamala's Henning Eriksson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osvaldo Neto. Osvaldo Neto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. EDI MZB's Osvaldo Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save EDI MZB from getting a goal against them.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loco Martin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Loco Martin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Carrillo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Neither FC Jamala or EDI MZB succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.
EDI MZB's Miguel Guerra was substituted for Éder Passos. With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Hortêncio Mandrak in EDI MZB was the one to initiate the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Jamala's Rosendo Chaime got a free kick in the 100th minute. In the 101st minute Dennis Roelfs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Bang Xiang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shi Bang Xiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tao Li Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, EDI MZB's Osvaldo Neto got control of the ball when Renátó Csernyi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shi Bang Xiang came out of the goal in the 110th minute to try and stop a shot by EDI MZB's Hortêncio Mandrak. But to his dismay, Hortêncio Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EDI MZB walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
