Despite this Peter Schmeichel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dariusz Wos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Marian Văduvescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Steaua Pildesti's zone, Marcin Cebula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Văduvescu came out of the goal and Marcin Cebula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marian Văduvescu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Ludwig Wassenius sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Dariusz Wos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. Patagonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Lucian Stere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute.
