In the 3rd minute, Pégasus F. C.'s Lorenzo Leiva seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lorenzo Leiva the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pégasus F. C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lorenzo Leiva had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave KOCAELİSPOR a penalty, 4 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mbaka Mbolu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Mbaka Mbolu made a precise shot to the right of Umberto Cunha. Pégasus F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 26th minute. KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marian Gondela, made in the 28th minute of the game. The supporters of Pégasus F. C. booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafet Hazin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 32nd minute, when Pégasus F. C.'s Paulo José Barral after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Şemsettin Tuyuğ in KOCAELİSPOR's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. KOCAELİSPOR were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Pégasus F. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Delgadillo took the corner. KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Umberto Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 39th minute Mbaka Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pégasus F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudio Delgadillo was slow to take the kick. During this time KOCAELİSPOR's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mbaka Mbolu in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mbaka Mbolu scored 1-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Pégasus F. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KOCAELİSPOR were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Groll was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Pégasus F. C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Xande Sharkin hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, KOCAELİSPOR's Umberto Cunha threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mbaka Mbolu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 55thth minute of the game Xande Sharkin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ye Chuan Chen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Umberto Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pégasus F. C. made a substitution. Gilberto Soeiro replaced Bebeto Medeiros. Umberto Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ye Chuan Chen in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Mbaka Mbolu made a precise shot to the right of Umberto Cunha. Pégasus F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. KOCAELİSPOR's Wictor Vestberg was substituted for Rafet Hazin. With his leg Umberto Cunha managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when KOCAELİSPOR's Refugio Pagan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 80 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Tepedino came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Romeo Bâru got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Romeo Bâru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Tepedino in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şemsettin Tuyuğ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mbaka Mbolu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Umberto Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KOCAELİSPOR. The audience thought a goal was coming when Refugio Pagan got free with Umberto Cunha in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to KOCAELİSPOR's Zachary Bienienda getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KOCAELİSPOR had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
